2020 has been many things. Among the shortlist of positive events, it has been a year filled with Nike Dunk releases. From Cactus Jacks to Ben & Jerry’s to Grateful Deads, we’ve seen them all. Although the streak of new Dunks has not yet come to an end, and this time around it may make the list for one of the weirdest pairs.

Thanks to sneaker news sources ZsneakerheadZ and soleheatonfeeet, we get a first look at the “Thank You For Caring” Nike Dunk. At first glance, this pair already stands out. Colors of white, red blue, yellow, and green are scattered throughout the sneaker in the form of vintage catalogs and printouts. Each portion of the sneaker has something interesting to display whether it be through visuals or text. To add a little more flare, the shoelaces are made out of a rope-like material, similar to the ones we see on the Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low.

While the true inspiration behind the sneaker is yet to be known, we can see some intentional design choices. One of which is the panel featuring Nike’s original brand name, “Blue Ribbon Studios”. As this is not the first Nike product that pays homage to the brand’s past, it’s exciting to see how Nike will bring other aspects of their history to the spotlight.
