The fanbase for the juggernaut streaming service platform, Netflix, has continued to skyrocket due to the company’s ability to provide content that targets almost everyone — ensuring a film or show that is suited for individual tastes and preferences. Netflix has been so gracious to its huge fanbase on every occasion and even more so in the coming weeks as they have prepared their first-ever global fan event entitled TUDUM: A Netflix Global Fan Event, this September 25, 2021.
What is TUDUM?
TUDUM isn’t just another catchy title or random letters put together. In fact there is a lot of creativity and thought put into the title alone for this grand event for Netflix. TUDUM is an onomatopoeic representation of the first two beats that we hear whenever we open Netflix. Talk about creative and strategic marketing right there. With the title alone being given so much innovative thought — we can expect nothing but sheer greatness and tons of surprises for the upcoming global fan event.
On September 25 (Saturday), we will be able to witness 145 of the biggest stars and creators from around the world. Some of these stars include Halle Berry, Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Álvaro Morte, just to name a few. These big names represent over 70 amazing titles for both familiar and new content that we can expect from Netflix in the next months or years to come. So expect amazing movies, series, and specials to be revealed during this event as well as tons of exclusives from all of our favorite Netflix titles.
How to Take Part in the TUDUM Experience?
The global fan event for Netflix will be done through a virtual live stream via Netflix’s YouTube channels worldwide, in addition to Twitter, Twitch, and Facebook. The event proper will begin at 12 am here in the Philippines and we can access it through the localized YouTube stream: Netflix Philippines (English).
However, it pays to be an early bird for this grand event since there will also be special pre-shows that fans of anime, Bollywood, and K-drama would surely go crazy for. These will all occur on the same day, on the 25th of September. The fan pre-event shows include The TUDUM: Anime Spotlight at 8 pm on the Netflix Asia or Netflix Anime YouTube channels, The TUDUM: Korean Spotlight at 9 pm on the Netflix Asia or The Swoon YouTube channels, and The TUDUM: India Spotlight at 11:30 pm on the Netflix India Youtube channel.
The fun doesn’t end there, however, since there is an even more unique and exciting way for fans to experience the event as well. Fans can co-stream via Twitch and react in real-time to all the extravagant and amazing news, updates, and announcements from the said event. This can be done by signing up to co-stream on TUDUM.com.
What to expect from the Netflix fan event, TUDUM?
In an attempt to simplify things and meet expectations, the best thing fans can do for the event is to expect the unexpected. There will surely be a lot of amazing content and surprises in store during this three-hour TUDUM event. Fans will be treated to exclusives and trailers from returning shows — including Stranger Things, Bridgerton, The Witcher, La Casa De Papel, and Cobra Kai. There will also be new shows that we can look forward to as well such as Bebop Cowboy and Sandman as well as blockbuster films like Red Notice, Don’t Look Up, The Harder They Fall, and many many more.
