For weeks now, rumors have been circulating about Drake’s potential partnership with Nike for a new collection. Turns out the rumors are true! With the upcoming release of his sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy, the Nike collection accompanies Drake’s music. While details about the collection are not complete, several items apart of the collection have been teased online through social media.

The upcoming collection is centered around the “Lover Boy” theme, which makes use of hearts incorporated into the designs. Our first look at a centerpiece of the collection, a quilted light pink Nike bomber jacket with heart embroidery, was from Drake’s Laugh Now Cry Later music video.

Other pieces in the collection include the classic Nike Swoosh cap, crew socks, a CLB hoodie, and album inspired t-shirts. Throughout each piece in the collection, common designs include the use of hearts, lipstick stains, and roses, all fitting the upcoming album’s theme.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: the use of a red heart may seem a little bit similar to Comme des Garcons Play’s signature red heart logo found on many of their apparel and sneakers. While the heart shape between both designs has subtle differences, the overall design is alike. Although, this isn’t stopping Drake and Nike from what is to come.

What are your thoughts on this collection? Are you planning to cop a few pieces? Or are you planning on sticking with the popular CDG? Let us know in the comments below!
