After being teased for several months, Nike has officially unveiled the first signature sneaker of NBA player Devin Booker with the Book 1. With a classic design that has elements of the Air Force 1, Air Jordan 1, and Blazer, the Book 1 aims to be a basketball sneaker that has a “future classic” vibe. Despite the retro looks, the Book 1 features a Cushlon 2.0 staked foam midsole that’s paired with a rigid TPU sidewall and a top-loaded Zoom Air Bag on the heel.

For the upper, Nike opted for workwear-inspired canvas and twill for added durability, while suede is used for the collar and leather is used for the forefoot for a more plush feel especially when it is broken in. The pull tab on the hell takes cues from a book spine, with numbers “referencing chapters in an ongoing story”.

The Book 1 is set to release in Spring 2024, with this dominant orange colorway as one of the two initial releases.
