As a promising NBA superstar, Anthony Edwards is set to unveil its first signature sneaker with adidas with the AE 1. Edwards is the latest signature athlete under the Three Stripes and stands out in the NBA with his electrifying style, gravity-defying acrobatics, versatile scoring, and commitment to defense.
“Anthony’s unstoppable athleticism, love for the game, commitment to his family, and unwavering loyalty make him 1 of 1, and adidas is thrilled to welcome him to our signature roster,” adidas Basketball Global General Manager Eric Wise said.
The AE 1 is set to debut in three colorways and features a split tongue design, flexible knit upper, and a unique TPU overlay that aims to support dynamic movements in the court. The mesh-like design of the TPU overlay also ensures better foot ventilation, with encapsulated BOOST taking care of the cushioning. For extra grip, the outsole has a herringbone blade pattern, and the overall silhouette of the sneaker is a mid-cut that provides adequate ankle support. Completing the look is Edwards’ signature logo on the tongue.
adidas will reveal more details about the AE 1 in December 2023.
