Since his collaboration with Nike for the Air Max 1/97, Sean Wotherspoon has become a household name in the streetwear world. Although when asked about his partnership with Nike, Wotherspoon had this to say:

I’ve been done working with [Nike], at least on another SW collab, for a while. Still lots of good friends there. I help when asked, but being able to spread my wings again is the best feeling ever.

Although fans won’t be able to expect another Sean Wotherspoon and Nike collaboration, Sean has delivered with another brand.

The Sean Wotherspoon x atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III has been released globally by the Japanese streetwear and sneaker boutique atmos recently. Along with retailers such as Footpatrol and UBIQ, the most recent Sean Wotherspoon design hit the market last August 7! The sneaker’s retail price is $165(~Php 8.1k).

The shoe boasts of a bright corduroy upper with varying shades and tones throughout. Both the right and left shoe have different colors per section. While the left shoe displays darker tones of purple, brown, and green, the right shoe displays lighter tones of orange, blue, teal, and grey.
As Sean Wotherspoon has proven time and time again, his name attracts the masses. If you’re an Asics fanatic, you should be glad to know this release has drawn attention to the brand and its possible upcoming designs. Similar to what KITH founder, Ronnie Fieg did for the brand, this sneaker collaboration will be sure to reach a wide audience gaining more recognition for Asics’ name.
