Kawhi Leonard is a force on the basketball court as he has managed to rack up accolades from Defensive Player of the Year to the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. While such awards may already seem to be a handful to the regular person, Leonard proves to be a true renaissance man as he is making his impression on the music industry. That being said, the Los Angeles Clippers star has just released his complete rap project called Culture Jam Volume 1.

Since the dawn of pop culture, sport and hip-hop have always been heavily intertwined in terms of their icons and philosophies. While the symbiotic relationship between the two industries has grown to become more subtle, Kawhi Leonard’s latest work brings the relationship to the limelight. Culture Jam Volume 1 revolves around the unity between basketball and hip-hop and is brought to us via Virgin Music Label. However, Leonard’s ambition does not stop at only delivering tunes to his fans, he strives to support young athletes in underserved communities as well.

Earlier this year, we got to see snippets of the Culture Jam Volume 1 project through the album’s first single – “Everything Different” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and Rod Wave. Now, the wait is over as we can finally browse through the rest of the music collection that boasts of features from Polo G, Lil Uzi Vert, NLE Choppa, and more.

Just as Leonard seeks to support young athletes, he took it upon himself to donate a portion of the proceeds from “Everything Different” towards the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation in honor of Kobe and Gianna Bryant.

The seven-song tracklist is currently available on Spotify. Have a listen, and let us know your thoughts in the comment section below! Check out other relevant news in the music space with our article on Music Of The Spheres Album Review: Coldplay Never Left.
