Following their notorious tradition of 4/20 holiday sneakers, Nike SB has just released a worthy follow-up to the “Cheech and Chong” and “Skunk” SB Dunks from years ago. For 2021, we are getting a Hawaiian-themed SB Dunk High Maui Wowie, which boasts of a number of interesting details.

This one features a tear-away detail that mixes Hawaiian patterns and fuzzy suede that reminds us a lot about why people celebrate 420 across the globe. A creative mix of tropical and smoky pursuits, the shoe is an interesting must cop.

The Hawaiian floral material can be torn or burned as one may desire–a design aspect that has been popular with G-Dragon and CLOT’s recent collabs. Doing just that reveals a nice shaggy green suede material that mixes nicely with the orange accents. The tan tongue and outsoles add some light earthy pop into the mix.

The nice thing about this tear-away concept is that you get to bring out the sneaker’s unique design the more you rock them. Yes, this is the type of sneaker that you should not be extra careful with, as tearing away the upper gives it better personality.

Nike SB Dunk Maui Wowie Release Date, Price

There’s no official release date yet, but we are betting this one will be dropping 4/20 given its concept to celebrate the said holiday. Retail is set at $120(~Php 5.9k) and we are betting those into organic themed releases should have this one on their must cop list! Nike Philippines does make some SB Dunks available via SNKRS, so keep your fingers crossed that you MIGHT be able to cop this new 420-themed SB Dunk at retail–that’s always the dream, right?

Speaking of Nike, you should check out their Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike “Go Flea” Collection.
