Since the COVID-19 pandemic, it is not easy to cop the latest sneakers. Aside from the risks associated with visiting physical stores, online orders are not exactly that efficient—ask those who ordered from adidas’ online store last March, only to get their orders (if they’re lucky) several months later.

Because of the limitations imposed by the new normal, stores are scrambling their way to make up for lost profits due to the massive decrease in foot traffic. Appointment systems like what Titan is doing is not enough to generate sales, so others decided to do online sales by creating Viber communities. Under Armour, Titan, and Xiaomi are among those who are using this eCommerce model in selling products.

Titan, for its part, uses its Viber community to announce raffles for special pairs, discounts, and for its On-Demand service. The latter works this way: every day at around 11AM, Titan will update its On-Demand catalog, where you have an idea of what pairs are available.

Once you spot a pair you like, you send an email to inquire if your size is available. When the guys at Titan confirm that the sneaker is available, you will be asked to fill up a form and settle the payment via bank transfer or GCash (no credit cards for now).

Once done, you will receive a confirmation of your order via the same email thread. Do note that there’s a Php 200 additional charge for delivery, and that Titan’s On-Demand service is limited to Metro Manila.

What’s nice about this is that everything is done through email. Save for BDO’s slow app loading times, it took me around an hour to complete my order—I got the Air Force 1 QS Korea from them using the On-Demand service.

While Titan quotes that deliveries take around 2-3 days from the order confirmation, I was surprised to get the sneakers a day after ordering them. Talk about great customer service.

Do I recommend Titan’s On-Demand Sevice? Absolutely yes, especially if you live within Metro Manila. It is a great way to shop for GR kicks without leaving the house. While there are a few exclusives (like the Air Force 1 QS Korea), I don’t see Titan yet using this method for future hype releases.

Curious about the pair? Here’s the unboxing video:
