Sneakers come and go. With one crazy release losing steam, there will be another one picking up the heat. In today’s fast and fickle hype landscape, many of us have learned to just move on from releases we can’t get.
For me personally, I’ve learned to distance myself from the Nike X Sacai collaborations because of the crazy resell prices. Let’s just say it’s on my radar but I was taking my sweet time to jump on them… until I saw this pair.
What’s New
The Nike LDWaffle x sacai x UNDERCOVER in the Night Maroon colorway is one of three that dropped under this triple collab umbrella.
While the UNDECOVER logos are present, I can still consider this a Nike and SACAI collaboration in a new colorway. There’s nothing we’ve seen before but it’s just this particular colorway that grabbed our attention from the get go. Let’s just say, it’s a new colorway on a revered silhouette.
Double everything is the selling point of this shoe. Two tongues, two soles stacked with each other–these are Chitose Abe’s trademarks since the first Sacai shoe and we’re going to see more releases probably.
Also, the materials on this one feel very premium. You know that feeling that you’re getting your money’s worth upon seeing and feeling them in hand? This pair is all that.
Also, they come with two crazy lace choices, the one is ribbon like and thick in black, and the other is gray and rope-like. I guess they won’t look bad on the shoe as well..
The Fit and the Sizing
For this particular release, we recommend going a half size up as they feel a bit tighter than usual. It may look deceivingly huge and chunky but it is quite narrow.
The fit though is another story as it has that extra cushiony bounce that we are huge fans of. Also if you’re a bit on the shorter side, you will love the extra height on this one.
Where to Buy Them
Long gone now from the Nike SNKRS App for Php 9,000, the good news is that you can score a pair on the secondary market for around Php 11-12,000 depending on your size. This is such a treat considering the crazy resale prices on past Sacai offerings. We can’t complain!

If you’re dying to get your hands on a pair of Sacai collabs for the longest time, then this is your chance. Probably one of the best releases this year sans the astronomical prices, the Nike LDWaffle x sacai x UNDERCOVER is definitely a recommended cop in our book.
