The Air Jordan 4 has recently hit the spotlight as it experienced a “Manila” makeover. Although due to the extremely limited release of 150 pairs, almost all of us were left disappointed. Despite that, there’s good news right around the corner, and it comes in the form of the Air Jordan 4 Taupe Haze.

This newly announced Jordan Brand project is scheduled to release on February 6 next year. Thanks to the sneaker news source @sneakerbardetroit, we get a close look at what the pair has to offer. While the sneaker may appear to have an ordinary brown colorway at first glance, the cracks on the upper suggest there is another color or design present underneath. This feature would allow sneakerheads to choose between rocking a fresh or exposed pair of sneakers, similar to the PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Air Force 1 ’07 Paranoise 2.0.

The dark brown colorway presents the perfect opportunity for contrast with the bright red detailing seen on the pair’s outer and inner tongue. The aesthetic of this contrast reminds us of another type of collaboration – Travis Scott. Based on the brown alone, we can draw parallels to Scott’s Nike designs, but even more surprising is the pair’s similarity to the Travis Scott X Air Jordan 4 “Olive” Sample.
