Among all the New Balance sneakers, the 990 is the most updated one, already in its fifth iteration. The 990 has been in the market since 1982, and to go along with its 40th year, New Balance is set to unveil the 990v6 as the latest version of the flagship running sneaker.

Compared to the 990v5, the 990v6 stands out with the sheer size of its midsole, being chunkier than the one we’ve seen on its predecessor. The thick midsole comes with modern sneaker cushioning tech like ABZORB, FuelCell, and ENCAP.

The suede and mesh upper still remain, though has a more refined look with more curves to be seen. You get a 990 branding on the lateral side, and a bold New Balance 990v6 branding on the tongue to remind you that this is already the sixth iteration of the sneaker.

Like its predecessor, you get the classic New Balance grey colors on the 990v6, and is still made in the USA just like all flagship New Balance sneakers. Completing the look are white laces.
