Right on time for the League of Legends World Championship happening later this month, Nike has decided to release a new collection centered around the hit MOBA game. The collection ranges from several sneakers to different apparel designs. Sneakers that are part of this list include Nike Sportswear silhouettes to classic Air Jordan 1s, while the apparel includes team jerseys and casual wear.
Arguably the best piece of the collection, the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom takes center stage. Inspired by the League of Legends championship trophy, this Air Jordan 1 rendition displays black and white tones, an iridescent swoosh, and purple accents throughout the sneaker. For those who play the game, the right tongue even has a Summoner’s Rift map graphic.
Aside from Jordan Brand, Nike Sportswear throws in several old and new silhouettes into the mix including the Air Max 90, Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage, Air Force 1 Low, Air Force 1 High, Air Max 270 React, Joyride Dual Run 2, and the Air Max 2X. A similar theme of pixellated swooshes and the inclusion of ombré red and blue is seen across the different designs. Along with this, the tag line “Have a Good Game” can be found on each sneaker.
For the apparel, the four jerseys included in the collection represent teams Top Esports, JD Gaming, Suning, and LGD. All sport the respective team logos and sponsors, with the jerseys being made from Nike’s tried-and-tested Dri-FIT technology. With the gamer experience in mind, Nike ensured the jerseys have a loose waist to prevent gamers from being restricted during clutch scenarios.
If you’re planning to wear the collection outside of gaming, the collection has you covered as well! Casual wear from this collection includes hoodies, crewnecks, and t-shirts. In line with the digital gamer theme, the pieces include pixellated designs and other techno graphics.
