After making a Speedmaster Moonwatch accessible to the masses with the MoonSwatch, Swatch follows up its hyped up collabortions with Blancpain through their own take at the Fifty Fathoms called the Scuba Fifty Fathoms–or Scuba Fifty for short. The collaboration is well-planned, as this year is the 70th anniversary of the Fifty Fathoms

While it’s also made from Swatch’s Bioceramic material, the Blancpain collab uses an automatic movement–specifically the Sistem51 movement. It was logical for Swatch to use an automatic movement, as Blancpain never had a watch with a quartz movement–and that it positions itself higher than Omega despite both brands being under the Swatch group.

There are also less models under the Swatch x Blancpain collab (there are only 5), and all of them are named after the major oceans in the world. Each model has a unique caseback design that’s inspired by a nudibranch, which is type of sea slug. Each of the five models represents a nudibrance that’s native to that ocean.

Staying true to the Fifty Fathoms branding, the Swatch x Blancpain collab is water resistant to 91 meters or 300 feet–which, by the way, is exactly fifty fathoms.

The Swatch x Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Scuba collection will be available globally at select Swatch stores on September 9 for $400(~Php 23k).
