Vans has always been a brand that’s game for creative themes and concepts. Embracing the Year Of The Ox, they have teamed up with Japanese retailer BILLYS– one of the land of the rising sun’s most well-known footwear distributors.

The shoe? Their playful twist on the Vans Style 36 drawing inspiration from 2021’s designated zodiac animal.

Playfully called the “BROWN REMIX” – the shoe is their way of celebrating the 2021 kickoff. Using the brown-tinged cow print, we get two versions of the collaboration. It’s a textile fest with canvas and faux fur for that quirky vibe.

The white midsoles and laces break off the pattern heavy affair giving both shoes a clean finish. Yes, they are surprisingly wearable and skateable for the coming year!

The Vans V36OG Brown Remix dropped at BILLYS’ website last December 26 for ¥12,000(~Php 5.6k), though there is no word yet for a wider release.
