On the afternoon of March 31, 2019, the rap game changed forever as Nipsey Hussle was shot outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles. Not only did fans lose his future music, but his local communities lost a philanthropist. Among the many initiatives Nipsey was involved in to help improve the lives of the people around him, he partnered up with Puma to renovate a local elementary school’s playground and basketball courts for the youth.

With almost two years since the tragic death of Nipsey Hussle, the rapper has managed to earn many accolades posthumously. The newest accolade added to his decorated resume is having his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Since 1960, the Hollywood Walk of Fame has served as a means of commemorating the greats that have impacted the Hollywood scene. Without a doubt, Nipsey was able to do that, and more.

However, Nipsey Hussle isn’t the only person who is a part of Hollywood’s 2022 Walk of Fame Class. He joins 37 other honorees, including Carrie Fisher, Salma Hayek, and Michael B Jordan. All of whom have contributed to their tight-knit community in one way or another.
