In today’s fast times, one’s art can have an instant audience especially if it resonates with a lot of people. Such a creative outburst can reach so many places and tap into audiences’ emotions as well.

In celebration of “Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa”, artist Garius Dimalibot created very impressive 3-D versions of remarkable national heroes of the Philippines who’ve made a huge mark in the country’s fight for independence.

Garius, who is a US-based 3D toy design/modeler, has showcased his awesome renditions the country’s national heroes. He has revealed his works of Melchora Aquino or “Tandang Sora,” General Antonio Luna and national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.

“Ang original plan ay to create one model a day… So far, I got three,” the artist said.

Imagine if these were animated or done up in 3D vinyl or resin? We bet our national heroes in such an artistic format would give Pixar and other Disney characters a tight competition. Also, it’s not a hidden fact that the best 3D artists abroad are Filipinos…so there!

Posted on Reddit, the said set of works has gotten a lot of positive responses and is now gaining heavy traction.

Heroes. Dahil Buwan ng Wika, I want to my 3D models to have any Philippine related theme. Ang original plan ay to create one model a day… So far, I got three. I don’t know if I’m going to keep doing heroes, but I think I’m gonna switch to Gods and Goddesses. We’ll see. Cheers! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 from Philippines

According to his post, he wanted his 3D models “to have any Philippine related theme” in light of this month’s celebration which honors Philippine culture, identity and loyalty.

If that’s the case, then Garius is on the right path! More works and pieces to come as this seems to be just a teaser on what he can really do.

Speaking of art, this GORI and Reg Rubio collaboration is a fresh debut for both the toy and the rock scene!
