When Kanye first released the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 back in 2015, we were met with a sneaker constructed from a prime knit upper and boost sole. Soon after, the Yeezy team made changes to the design for the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in 2016, incorporating a side stripe motif and featuring a semi-transparent monofilament construction. For 2021, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 faces a redesign wherein the upper of the sneaker in its entirety features a semi-transparent monofilament design instead of the Primeknit we are all familiar with. The redesign is known as the Yeezy 350 V2 Mono Pack.
Unlike past Yeezy Boost 350 models, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Pack incorporates a new skeletal cage system, which is exposed through the translucent fabric upper. While the cage system serves as a practical design element, it also greatly contributes to the overall futuristic aesthetic of the sneaker.
According to rumors, the Mono Pack will include four different colorways. Among these is a light blue Mono Ice, a dark grey Mono Mist, a light brown Mono Clay, and a black Mono Cinder. With these four varying colorways, the new pack offers many options. And as we know from past Yeezy releases, the hype for these sneakers is expected to be high. However, due to the increasing supply of Yeezy sneakers, we don’t expect resale prices to be through the roof–though the case of the Yeezy 450 selling out fast is an outlier among recent Yeezy trends.
All sneakers that are part of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Pack are expected to release on June 21 via adidas’ Website, Yeezy Supply, and select retailers with a price tag of $220 (~Php 10.7k). Are you planning to cop yourself pair from this pack or wait for another fresh new Yeezy silhouette?
