The talented musician hasn’t even reached 20, and Billie Eilish has built a career that most of us just dream about. Her ethereal music, bold lyrics, and brooding aura, is a pleasure listen to and a joy to dance to for others. Aside from the Grammys and other recognitions, she is now stamping her name in another aspect of the arts—fashion. In fact, Billie is set to drop her very own Billie Eilish X Air Jordan 1 KO.
We didn’t see this coming!
Fashion is something that is familiar for the Bad Guy singer. In fact, her bold, androgynous street style is something that she’s owned for a while. The sneaker sneaker boasts a monochromatic neon green colorway, incorporating Nike’ and Air Jordan logos throughout the silhouette. From the looks of the image, the pair also sports a canvas tongue and a unique logo that is most likely associated to Billie. Another plus is its simplicity, which makes it easy to pair with neutral outfits.
If you’re familiar with her style, the design approach to her KOs makes sense. For one, her hair has neon green roots, and she is known for using the color in her fashion and aesthetic choices. In this aspect of capturing her boldness and offering wearability, the design works.
This is Just Us Though, But We Wish…
While we’re stoked for this unexpected collab, we wish Jordan Brand could have added more unique elements like an embroidered signature or maybe a surprise colorway inside the sneaker. Since this is a collector’s item, it’s going to cost a lot especially on the resell market.
That being said we wish that apart from a iconic names associated with the shoe, there was more of a distinguishing factor. Frankly speaking, the aesthetic benefits that we stated could maybe be achieved by cheaper alternatives like this one sold by Berska.
Having said that, we’re still happy about the collaboration and we’re curious on what it will actually look and feel like in person. Kudos to Billie for being bold and beautiful. Keep being you!
