Everyone knows that Mother Earth needs to be healed ASAP. Whether it’s a marketing effort or a genuine contribution, fashion houses’ upcycling of materials definitely creates awareness that there’s work to be done in the planet.

Recently, Louis Vuitton revealed the SS21 LV Trainer Upcycling Collection. What’s awesome about LV’s upcycling effort is that they made use of previous LV trainer material, carrying on the signature quality and luxury of the brand. Calfskin and suede are present in the upcycled pieces, as well as, tie-dye colored laces.

This effort is in line with LV head designer Virgil Abloh’s recent upcycling ideology for LV that represents the brand’s step towards sustainability.

Other luxury brands that upcycle include Peony, Reformation, and TRMTAB.

The collection is expected to go on sale later this year.
